Grand Canyon North Rim Reopens!

Many of you, like me, have lived in this beautiful state and have made at least one trip to the Grand Canyon!  If you haven’t ever ventured to this beautiful place (shame on you!), put it on you short bucket list.  Be aware that in the summer you have to prepare for the heat, because you could easily become overheated.  Now that the North Rim has reopened, you can head up there and get in some hiking and site seeing before our AZ sun is in full force.  Also, keep in mind that the lodge will not be open till May 26th, however there are a few lodges outside the rim that are open for your stay.  There are two amazing trails to look into doing while at the North Rim:

Bright Angel Point Vista-a paved quarter mile trail that leads to the lodge.

Cape Final Trailhead-4 mile hike through the woods.

Point Imperial Scenic Drive-highest point on either rim and gives some great views of Mount Hayden and Saddle Mountain.

What are you waiting for?  Blow some stink off and go check out our beautiful Grand Canyon… and when you are done with the North Rim, head to the South Rim!  The Havasupai Falls is one of the most amazing waterfalls to view (and maybe even get wet!)  This is so amazing and I have the pleasure of saying I have hiked this side of the rim several times over the years!  b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!
